Dental Checkups & Cleanings

Standard dental checkups and teeth cleanings consist of digital X-rays and additional diagnostic imaging that allows for a clearer, more thorough view of a patient’s mouth. After identifying any concerns regarding decay or gum disease, our team will use Velscope as a way to detect signs of oral cancer. We’ll then clear away plaque and tartar from the teeth so that gum disease does not have a chance to form.

Dentistry for Children

Children need high-quality dental care just like adults. While young teeth and gums are growing, our team can ensure that cavities, gum disease, and bite misalignment do not become serious issues. We can also provide lip and tongue tie treatment should a child be unable to latch while nursing, speak clearly, or breathe freely. By addressing these issues early on, it reduces the likelihood that they will need more advanced treatment in the future.

Fluoride Treatment

It may seem unnecessary to receive fluoride treatment, especially if patients already get it by drinking tap water or brushing their teeth. However, cavity-prone smiles can often benefit from additional fluoride because of its ability to combat decay. Applied during a regular dental checkup, this process is quick and easy to complete. Dr. Löberg or one of our other qualified dentists will apply a concentrated paste directly to the enamel so that teeth remain protected in between appointments.

Dental Sealants

Molars are known as chewing teeth because they are capable of crushing food, but they can easily become affected by growing plaque and tartar over time. However, with dental sealants, we can apply an invisible layer of plastic resin to the tops of these teeth so that bacteria do not try to spread and penetrate the enamel.

Athletic Mouthguards / Sportsguards

Our athletic mouthguards/sportsguards are custom devices that are designed to safeguard a patient’s teeth and gums so that any force is absorbed to avoid serious injury. Instead of spending time away from the game in a dentist’s office undergoing treatment for a knocked-out or broken tooth, a patient can continue to play with greater confidence knowing their smile is protected.

Nightguards for Bruxism

Bruxism affects individuals of all ages; however, it is commonly linked to stress and misaligned bites. Because the clenching and grinding of teeth can wear down tooth enamel over time as well as cause chronic jaw pain, it is recommended that patients receive custom nightguards to mitigate future problems. Similar to an athletic mouthguard, this oral device creates a barrier between the upper and lower rows of teeth so that they do not touch throughout the night.
